Chris McKenna speaking at a parenting tech workshop

Protecting the
next generation

Chris McKenna founded Protect Young Eyes after a simple act of research, spotting digital dangers families did not know to look for, exploded into a nationwide movement. A former consultant and youth ministry director, Chris turned a passion for protecting children into an organization that conducts hundreds of presentations worldwide each year.

His relentless drive has shaped real legislation, earned recognition from the highest halls of government, and placed him on global stages. But ask Chris, and he will tell you: the most important work he does is at home.

Why this work is
personal

I do not speak about digital safety from a distance. My mission began with my own story, a faith-shaped turning point, and a conviction that children should not have to face the internet alone.

Technology almost ruined me. The drive behind Protect Young Eyes is my relentless desire to prevent your son or daughter from becoming me.

01

Faith and honesty

I had to come clean, speak honestly, and invite trusted people into my internet use. That holy conviction became part of how I found freedom.

02

The mission behind PYE

The drive behind Protect Young Eyes is my relentless desire to prevent children from facing the same hidden struggles I carried from childhood into adulthood.

03

Protect this childhood

I believe parents, schools, churches, and policymakers can build safer digital spaces one device and one conversation at a time.

Husband.
Father of four.

Before the Senate chambers, the Davos stages, and the school auditoriums, there is a home. Chris's mission to protect children online was born from the same love that wakes him up every morning: his family.

A devoted husband and father of four children, Chris grounds every policy position, every presentation, and every piece of legislation in the lived reality of raising kids in a digital world. Road trips, running trails, two dogs, and anything sweet define his world when the work is done.
